Mental Health Advocacy Service
Eiriols Generic Mental Health Advocacy Service supports clients with mental health issues. Our advocates provide a free and confidential one-to-one service that can protect and promote the rights of their clients, and enables them to have their voices are heard. Our advocates can also empower clients to make informed decisions about their care and treatment by helping them to take more control over their lives .
Who can this service help?
This service can help adults aged 18+ in Carmarthenshire who suffer with mental health problems. Our clients often need help to understand their care and treatment or to access other specialist services . Eiriols advocates can support clients in meetings or appointments, help with writing letters or making phone calls. They can also help build confidence and empower clients to make decisions, making a positive effect on their future lives.

Our Carers’ Advocacy Service works one-to-one with carers who support someone with mental health issues. It specifically supports carers to be involved in care planning, and informs them of their rights as carers as well as providing help to access other appropriate services, make pone calls and write letters.
Advocacy services enable people to get their voice heard and their wishes respected. Eiriols advocates can help you do this by supporting you to find other specialist services, helping you make telephone calls, write letters or make complaints. They can also support you at meetings or appointments. Eiriol also promotes self-advocacy, helping you develop strategies and confidence to manage effectively.
